For sourcing of raw materials we also purchase surplus of unused or even used graphites under certain conditions. These comprise possibility to trace the material back to the initial manufacturer and precise specifications as well as sufficient size and cleanliness.

Because of frequent demand we regret to communicate that we are not able to accept used EDM graphites under any condition. In these the open porosity typical to all graphites is soaked with mineral oil based dielectric which prevents subsequent use in any of our product lines.

Another recycling activity is related to metal matrix composite materials. We do so on an experimental basis with a 15 kW DC source, expandable up to 150 kW together with a partner company from the metal recycling industry. Typical examples are copper based composites containing valuable other metals such as niob-titanium from superconductors or tungsten from copper-tungsten applications.
