occur in many composition as residues from manufacturing processes or as end of life products.
The picture below shows the production remainders of the drawing of low-temperature superconductors. In the copper matrix rods of ultrapure NbTi-rods are embedded. While most of the material is drawn to ultrafine copper-cladded NbTi filaments a small quantity of the original studs requires recycling.
For a number of technical uses copper-tungstene composites are used. At their end of life these require recycling.
For such applications we have developped a recycling process based on a small scale electrolysis unit adapted to process a variety of these composites.
