Milestones of our company

history:

ChemSys was established in 1999 based on many years of industrial experience in carbon and graphite manufacture and use. Initial activities were based on innovation consultancy with functional materials such as graphite and on graphite trade.

Based on customer demand we established high precision graphite machining in 2001 for prototypes and first small series manufacturing. This activity was continuously expanded over time. We produce graphite components with single-digit µm precision and bore-holes with aspect ratios of 20, 50, 100 or more.

Further customer requests led us to set up since 2008 sieving, comminution, mixing and compacting facilities for all types of graphite and other carbon materials . Today, we are able to offer our customers powders and granules from almost any type of graphite and carbon, from standard qualities to isostatic and highest chemical purity up tp 99,99+ % carbon.

Increasing quality requirements lead to a step expansion of our in-house laboratory facilities beginning in 2015. Today we operate 3D electronic light microscope with µ-LIBS, XRF, Eddy current measurement of electric conductivity, hardness measurement and many more.

Beginning in 2018 copper and copper alloys were included in our functional material portfolio. Focus on the development of metal-carbon- and recycling of metal matrix composites resulted.

With it’s broad knowledge base and international industry and research community network the ChemSys team is stronger than ever to support our customers in their endeavor to innovate with functional materials.
